v1.3.0
About this version
This version provides compatibility with Debian 11 and updates 3rd-party software libraries. It refuses to be installed freshly on Debian 10. However, updating an existing installation on Debian 10 is possible (see update paths below).
Possible update paths for existing installations
A. Update application, then upgrade to Debian 11 (recommended)
Following this path, the application update to version 1.3.0 is performed first, which is the smaller change, and the operating-system distribution is upgraded afterward.
-
Update to the new application version as described in Updating Cryptshare Mail Gateway.
-
Upgrade Debian 10 to Debian 11 as described in Upgrading Debian 10 to Debian 11.
B. Upgrade to Debian 11, then update application
In contrast, this update path performs the application update only after the distribution upgrade.
-
Upgrade Debian 10 to Debian 11 as described in Upgrading Debian 10 to Debian 11.
-
Update to the new application version as described in Updating Cryptshare Mail Gateway.
C. Update application only
If a distribution upgrade cannot be performed immediately, it is also possible to update only the application.
-
Update to the new application version as described in Updating Cryptshare Mail Gateway.
| The Debian security team ended the provision of security updates for Debian 10 at the end of June 2022. Existing Debian 10 installations should therefore be upgraded as soon as possible. |
