License Key
The license key that is installed on your Cryptshare Server must allow the use of Cryptshare for Outlook (Classic). You can view the details of your license on the administration interface of Cryptshare Server in the section System Status - License, see separate Server documentation.
Client prerequisites
Operating systems
The Microsoft Outlook add-In can be used under any operating system for which Microsoft .NET-Framework 4 is available. These are currently the following Microsoft operating system versions:

Supported architectures:

ARM architecture is currently not supported.
Outlook version
Cryptshare for Outlook (Classic) is fully supported under the following Outlook versions. Please also consider the list of supported operating systems:

Outlook 2024 LTS (32/64 Bit)

Outlook 2021 (32/64 Bit)

Outlook 365 (32/64 Bit)
This applies to all licensing models of MS Outlook, including MS Office 365, however only to MS Outlook clients installed on the local machine.
MS Outlook Fix Level
Please note that we do only support the latest fix levels of the MS Outlook versions listed above. In rare cases, using an older build / fix level of MS Outlook, may result in issues which can be resolved by updating your MS Outlook.
Supported Exchange
Please note that we do only support Microsoft Exchange Server.
Kerio or other 3rd-party servers are not supported.
Outlook profile
It is not recommended to use Cryptshare for Outlook (Classic) with multiple Outlook profiles. The reason for this is the automatic distribution of settings. Automatic allocation of settings is no longer possible after switching to another profile and the default settings are used. In the end this means that you must configure the accounts manually after each profile change.
The basic function is guaranteed after the manual configuration.
.NET Framework
Cryptshare for Outlook (Classic) is developed based on Microsoft .NET-Framework 4.8, which therefore is a basic requirement for the installation and use of the Cryptshare for Outlook (Classic) add-In.

Software download
Download the software from the Customer portal. Customers and business partners can create a log-in there if necessary. Due to export restrictions for encryption software, a download without log-in is not possible.
