Revoke a transfer

After you have performed a transfer, there may be reasons to revoke access to the files of this transfer for all recipients. The reason could be:

  • the containing information is outdated and obsoleted by a new transfer.

  • the transfer has been sent to the wrong recipient.

  • it is required to revoke access for all recipients due to security or regulatory reasons.

The transfer can be revoked by the sender. All files and message will then be deleted from the Cryptshare Server, not available for download.

How to revoke a transfer

  1. Go to Transfer Manager.

  2. Click the transfer you want to revoke.

  3. Click the three dots to list the transfer options, and select Revoke.

  1. It is optional to send an informative email to the recipient about the Revoke. Continue with the Inform recipients via email option checked (selected by default), or uncheck the box if you don’t want to send an informative email.

  2. Click Yes to start the revoke.

On both the sender and the recipient side (Uploads and Downloads), the Transfer Manager will mark the revoked email with a red icon. The recipient can also see that the "Available until" status has changed to "Transfer revoked".
