Lync configuration

The Lync module is used to filter the Lync traffic that goes through the Pointsharp Access Gateway. This module uses the Pointsharp ID and its API to determine whether to filter the traffic or not. For more information of how to configure the filter, please refer to the Device tab in the Pointsharp ID Admin GUI.

Property Description

Name

The name of the module configuration.

Authorization Cache Timeout

The timeout interval, in seconds, to use when requesting for authorization (device access and content set) towards the Pointsharp Web API.

Default: 60 seconds

Web Ticket URL

The web ticket URL to the Lync web ticket service.

Example: https://lyncweb.company.com/WebTicket/webticketservice.svc

Trace

The level of trace logging to use. The trace log is used when manually validating the data in the filtered traffic.

None

Disables the trace log.

Low

Enables the trace log, but only provides a limited amount of data for initial validation.

Verbose

Enables the trace log. This option will write all trace enabled data to the log file for detail information about the traffic. It is recommended to use this with a limited amount of clients, since this option may write a lot of data to your disk per client request.

Anonymous User From Request

For mobile anonymous requests, the client SIP address is fetched from request data. The address is verified against Pointsharp ID.

Enabled

Enables user check for mobile anonymous requests.

User Search Attribute

Attribute for SIP address verification.

User Group Attribute

Check User Search Attribute response against this attribute.

User Group Pattern

If this user attribute contains this text, this request is accepted.

Allow anonymous meeting, Mobile or Desktop

Allow invited user to participate in meetings without being an authenticated user in Pointsharp ID.

Device management URL

Used for Mobile Device Management. This is an internal uri part used by Pointsharp Access Gateway to intercept message from mobile MDM applications. This value should not be changed.

Device Management Block List

When a new device is in MDM state (not yet approved), there are limitations on what actions the user may perform. The Device Management Block List contains those blocked actions on a protocol level.

The default setting prevent users from: Start a conversation or a meeting, search for user, edit notes, and change presence.

Web Token (CWT) instead of Cookie

Some devices do not always remember existing cookies. This option will use Skype Web Token as session key instead of cookie value.
