Known issues in version 9.0.1

Access Gateway

The installer may fail to correctly handle permissions for Network Service, including access to the log folder and keys folder. This mainly affects new installations, not upgrades of existing installations.

Verify access to the keys folder:

  1. Right-click the keys folder: C:\Program Files\PointSharp\Gateway\keys

  2. Choose Properties and the tab Security.

  3. Verify that Network Service is listed and have these rights:

    • Read & Execute

    • List Folder Contents

    • Read

Verify access to the logs folder:

  1. Right-click the logs folder: C:\Program Files\PointSharp\Gateway\logs

  2. Choose Properties and the tab Security.

  3. Verify that Network Service is listed and have these rights:

    • Modify

    • Read & Execute

    • List Folder Contents

    • Read

    • Write

If another identity is used for the Application Pool on a Listener that does not create any logs - update the permissions with that identity.
