FrontDesk - General

FrontDesk is a self service portal for:

  • Streamlined person creation

  • Modification

  • Approval processes

It provides access to workflows for creating and updating persons in Compliance Suite and requesting and approving accesses. All of this is available to the customer’s users without requiring the user to having a license for Microsoft Dynamics 365. You decide who should have access to FrontDesk forms via roles in Compliance Suite.

Any changes requested or approved in FrontDesk are logged on tab Audit History of a person.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) does not allow a non-D365 licensed user to initiate something automatic that is read or written into D365. Thus, FrontDesk operations are added to a queue to be written to D365 and when a user with a D365 license logs into D365 or FrontDesk, a CCS synchronizes any pending changes into D365. This mechanism is called pending data, an inbound queue for data to D365.

FrontDesk consists of several hierarchical entities:

  • FrontDesk Apps

  • FrontDesk process definition

  • FrontDesk process definition step

  • FrontDesk page

  • FrontDesk field
