FrontDesk Apps

The FrontDesk App entity is your main entry point for the portal to run.

At least one instance of the entity must be defined.

Here, you can:

  • Define workflows that should be available in the FrontDesk UI

  • Change the UI text of the labels

In FrontDesk Apps you can find two tabs:

Tab Field description

General

This tab is split into two sections: (Mandatory fields?)

General value that is used in CCS.

Category

General value that is used in CCS.

Description

General value that is used in CCS.

  • FrontDesk process definitions - shows a paged list of explicit FrontDesk workflows. A definition can be either of type New Person or Update Person.

Field / button Description

+ New FrontDesk Process Definition

Creates a new entry in the list to define a new process definition.

Refresh

Refreshes the view of grid.

Run Report

This is a Dynamics function.

Excel Templates

Exports the current grid view to Excel.

Export FrontDesk Process Definition

Export entities.

See records that are associated to FrontDesk process definition.

Labels

Here, you can customize almost all texts displayed in FrontDesk Apps.

This tab is divided into different sections in which you can customize the UI text on buttons, titles, help etc. For each text category you can find a separate section, e.g. Start Screens, Buttons.

The tab Labels is divided into different sections.

Start Screen

Start Screen Displayname

Text in bar at the top of the screen and also the title of the browser tab.

Start Screen Logo Url

URL of the logo for the start screen.

Start Screen Help Link Caption

Tooltip for button in upper right corner.

Start Screen Help Link Url

URL that is opened when clicking the button ?.

Create User Button

Text on button to create new person.

Modify User Button

Text on button to modify person.

Get Access User Button

Text on button to request access.

Create user screen

In this section you can define the text of the fields on the screen that is opened when you click Create person.

User Screen Description

Text shown under title of page. Shown in italic.

User Screen Headline

Title of page.

User Screen Select Caption

Text shown above list of Create User processes.

Update user screen

In this section you can define the text of the fields on the screen that is opened when you click Modify person.

Request

In this section you can define the text of the fields on the screen that is opened when you click Get Access.

Dialog

In this section you can define the text of the fields on the screens for creating a person or an update request.

Person Search (messages)

Section to define other messages.

Role Assignment

In this section you can define the text of the fields on the screens for approving or implementing an access.

Buttons

This section contains texts for different buttons used in multiple places in the frontend.

Text on button often used to indicate “Cancel”.

Select

Text on button, often used to indicate “Ok”.

Approve

Text on button when approver needs to approve a task.

Reject

Text on button when approver needs to reject a task.

Text on button when reviewing and confirming creation or modification.
