Send as Proxy

Cryptshare supports the use of the Outlook function Send as Delegate. This applies to both the Send on Behalf of and Send As feature. The recipient of the transfer will see the sender as configured by the email server based on the permissions assigned.

On the part of the Cryptshare server, for technical reasons, distinctions are made between verification, transfer policy and logging for transfers. This depends on whether the delegate has access to the sender’s inbox or not.

This table lists whether the representative or the mailbox owner of the email account is used by Cryptshare to process the transfer.

Send as delegate in Outlook

To send an email as a delegate in Outlook, the mailbox owner must first grant you Delegate Access via File > Account Settings > Delegate Access, ensuring "Send on behalf" or "Send As" permissions are set.

Once granted, open a New email, click From (in the Options tab if not visible), choose Other Email Address, and select the owner’s address to send.
