Revoke transfer
After you have performed a transfer, there may be reasons to revoke access to the files of this transfer for all recipients. A transfer may be revoked for any reason, for example:
-
the containing information is outdated and obsoleted by a new transfer.
-
the transfer has been sent to the wrong recipient.
-
it is required to revoke access for all recipients due to security or regulatory reasons.
The transfer can be revoked by the sender. All files and message will then be deleted from the Cryptshare Server, not available for download.
How to revoke a transfer
-
Open the Cryptshare add-in on any active Cryptshare transfer email to see Transfer Manager - Uploads.
-
Click the three dots (…) and select Revoke transfer.

-
Click Confirm to start the revoke:

-
You will see a confirmation saying: "Your transfer has been successfully revoked." The files and message of this transfer cannot be retrieved anymore and are completely deleted from the Cryptshare Server.

The revoked message
-
The revoked message will remain listed in the Transfer Manager for another 60 days, but with the status "Revoked",
-
it will also display this icon instead of the green one:

-
the subject will be changed to "Subject empty", and
-
only the transfer details will be displayed.
-
No files nor actions will be available anymore.
