Configure settings
Static category view
A category with a static view pane contains a list of predefined policies that can be either Not defined or configured. A policy that is set to Not defined will not be applied to clients. Instead the clients will use local default settings shipped with the Net iD installation.
Edit a policy
To edit a policy, select the policy and click the Edit… button or double-click the policy in the list.
A policy can have either predefined settings in a list or an arbitrary value can be specified.
Dynamic category view
A category with a dynamic view pane can have policies added or removed to the list.
Add a policy
When adding a new policy, the policy can have a:

Predefined list of policy names.

Predefined list of policy names and settings.

Predefined list of policy names with an arbitrary setting.

Arbitrary policy name and setting.

To add a new policy, click Add….

Select values from the predefined lists or enter values to add a new policy.

Click OK.
Edit an existing policy

Select the policy and click Edit…, or double-click the policy in the list.

Select a setting from the list or enter a value, and then click OK.
When editing a policy the settings can be changed, but not the policy name. |
Files category view
The Files category view is used to deploy files that Net iD Enterprise needs on client computers. For example, bitmaps can be deployed to customize the pictures displayed at the logon screen.
Add a new file

To deploy a new file to client computers, click Add….

Under Source file , click Browse… to select the source of the file to deploy.

In the Client target path box, enter the target folder path manually or press Browse… to chose the folder where to copy the file.

To overwrite an existing file, select the Overwrite existing file check box.

To create the client target path, select the Create client target path check box. If this option isn’t configured and the client target path doesn’t exist, then the file will not be copied.

Edit a file

Click Edit… to change deployment options for an existing file, or double-click the file in the list.

When editing a file deployment, the source file cannot be changed. Any other options can be entered.

Click OK to save any changes.
