On-Offboarding - Target Field Behavior

For the field Target Field you can choose from the following values:

Boarding Value

Onboarding

Activate on

Employment Start

Offboarding

Deactivate On

Employment End

The following table describes the effect when field Target Field is changed:

Changed on Action Effect

A person

Before current date

Nothing happens.

After or equal to current date

The process is restarted with the first step. The execution date time is calculated from the new Target Field date.

Target Field value can either be:

  • Activate On

  • Deactivate On

  • Employment Start

  • Employment End

Set to nothing

The process is set to the first step in the process, but the execution date time is set to the maximum date time.

Off-/onboarding process and the person has a membership to the process

The person has a step in the database

  • The person’s Target Field has a value
    The step remains the same and the execution date time is calculated from the new Target Field.

  • The person’s Target Field is empty
    The process is reset.
    The step is set to the first step in the process and the new execution date time is set to maximum date time.

The person has no step in the database

Nothing happens.

Priority on off-/onboarding process

When the priority is changed on an off-/onboarding process, all members are recalculated.

Members who get a new off-/onboarding process as highest priority

The provisioning status of the synchronized membership is set to Not Given Because of Priority and the new membership gets status Synchronized. The first off-/onboarding step from the new process is added to the database and the old step is removed.

Members who keep the current offboarding process

Nothing happens.
