Possible error scenarios
Transfer dialog — Attachments
If the total size of the attachments of your message exceeds the administrative requirements for the maximum size, a corresponding dialog appears. In this dialog you can see how large the attachments are individually and in total, how high the limit is, and by what volume the limit has been exceeded.
Use the switches next to the file names to deactivate individual file attachments until the total size of the remaining files is below the limit. Next, click "Next" to send your message with the remaining file attachments.
Click on "Back" to be able to fully edit your message again before sending it.
Different maximum transfer sizes
Please note that the maximum size allowed for file attachments may depend on the recipients addressed. For example, a different limit may apply to sending to recipient A than to recipient B. If you’re sending to multiple recipients, removing or adding a recipient with a different limit can increase or decrease the total allowed size.
Transfer dialog — Recipient list
If one or more recipients of your transfer cannot be contacted via Cryptshare due to administrative requirements, a corresponding dialog will appear. In this dialog box, the inadmissible recipients can be seen.
By clicking Back, you can edit your message again.
Clicking Continue will remove the prohibited recipients from the list, and deliver the message to the remaining eligible recipients.
If none of the addresses are allowed, a pop-up will tell you so, and the message will be reopened in the editor.
Preprocessing dialog
If your administrator has configured a preprocessing of transfer data on the Cryptshare server, and these files are removed from the transfer, you will see a dialog with a list of removed files.
The preprocessing dialog contains information about the files taken out of the transfer, which can be due to the following reasons:
-
Preprocessing detected a file with a compromise pattern that was taken out of transfer.
-
Preprocessing detected a file that failed to archive.
-
The preprocessing has another reason why the file was removed from the transfer.
You can then choose one of the following actions:
-
Decide later: Close the dialogue and the decision can be made later. You can also close the window by clicking 'X', which will also postpone the decision.
-
Cancel transfer: Cancels the transfer and does not send it to the recipient.
-
Send other files: The remaining files will be sent in the transfer. The recipient receives the transfer with the remaining files.
If you have closed the dialog, or selected the Decide later option, you can call up the corresponding preprocessing dialog on the transfer in the Transfer Manager, by clicking NOT ALL FILES PROVIDED.
