Install Net iD Portal Front

This chapter gives the install information for Net iD Portal Front.

Prerequisites

This section gives the software prerequisites to correctly install and run Net iD Portal Front.

Net iD Portal Front needs the following services:

  • Web service

  • Net iD Portal

  • Net iD Access Server

Web service

Net iD Portal Front must be installed on a web server included in the environment hierarchy.

The following service has to be installed on the web server:

  • Microsoft Internet Information Services.

The following platforms can be used as a web server (Microsoft Internet Information Services is included in all platforms):

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2, Standard

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2, Enterprise

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012, Standard

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2, Standard

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016, Standard

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016, Datacenter

Net iD Portal Front requires that.NET Framework is installed on the web server. The .NET Framework can be downloaded from the Microsoft.com web page.

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4 and above.

Procedure

For now, the needed resources are installed and configured by Pointsharp AB. The installation procedure will be improved and described in upcoming releases so that users can perform them without the support from Pointsharp.
