Synopsis

netid.exe -cache [clear logged-on-pin|all-pin|token|token -winstation <desktop>|certificate]
    [register token] [certificate <thumbprint>]

Description

Net iD Client uses an internal cache for performance.

Options

clear

The clear options clears the cache, depending on what option you specify.

clear logged-on-pin

Clear PIN of logged-on token.

clear all-pin

Clear PIN for all available tokens.

clear token

Clear cache for all tokens associated with a current desktop.

clear token -winstation <desktop>

Clear cache for all tokens associated with a specific desktop.

clear certificate

Clear certificate cache. Either for current process or system service depending on where the certificate cache is stored.

register

register token

Register a token to a current desktop. Used to allow for system service to clear token cache when a desktop is disconnected in Terminal Server environment.

certificate

certificate <thumbprint>

Set last used certificate. Used in Terminal Server environment to find the last used certificate.
